Corporate Overview
Torch is currently involved in multiple segments of the energy business: Upstream Activities, Midstream Activities, Oil & Gas Services and Renewable Energy. Torch operates in these business segments through a variety of subsidiary and managed companies.
Upstream production is owned and managed primarily through Torch E&P Company. Torch E&P focuses on the exploration, acquisition, exploitation and development of oil and gas opportunities, primarily in Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana. In early 2006,Torch E&P formed Resaca Exploitation, LP to facilitate the acquisition of SDG Resources, LP’s oil and gas property interests in Texas and New Mexico. These interests include nine fields with estimated proven reserves in excess of 20.5 million BOE.
Midstream activities include natural gas gathering, treating and processing and natural gas and specialty chemicals marketing and trading. Through its interest in Quivira Partners, LP, Torch owns an interest in fifty-seven natural gas gathering systems in Texas, New Mexico and Mississippi. These systems include 515 miles of pipe. Torch is actively seeking to acquire additional midstream assets. Torch Energy TM, Inc provides oil and gas marketing services and specialty chemicals marketing and trading.
Torch’s Oil and Gas Services business segment is comprised principally of two service companies: Torch Energy Services and Permian Basin Well Services. Torch Energy Services provides well production services and operates both upstream and midstream assets. Permian Basin maintains a fleet of five well service workover rigs, and related equipment. The company provides well servicing to producers in the Permian Basin.
Torch Renewable Energy effort is managed by Torch Renewable Energy, LLC, a wind-power development company. Torch Renewable currently has several projects under development in the United States.
