Midstream Activities

Torch Energy's midstream asset base includes fifty-seven (57) gas gathering systems and 515 miles of pipeline. Midstream activities include natural gas gathering, treating and processing and crude oil, natural gas and specialty chemicals marketing and trading. Torch is seeking to expand its midstream asset base through the acquisition of additional midstream assets and the construction of new gas gathering systems and related facilities.

Escondido Gas Storage

The Escondido Gas Storage facility is being developed in the depleted Atkinson Gas Field in Texas. Escondido will have 18 Bcf of working capacity with 3 to 4 turns per year. Planned pipeline connections include CPS Energy, Enterprise Texas Pipeline LLC, Gulf South Pipeline Company, Houston Pipe Line Company LP, Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline, LLC, and Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation (Transco). Escondido will hold a non-binding open season between January 9 and February 15, 2008 for storage available by late 2010.  www.escondidogasstorage.com
