Torch Renewable Energy, LLC (“Torch Renewable”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Torch Energy Advisors Incorporated (“TEAI”), and is a wind energy project developer, owner, and operator. Torch Renewable aspires to be a leading environmental steward, while maximizing project value for our stakeholders. Torch Renewable leverages the industry knowledge of the company’s development team, and the transactional experience of TEAI to select, evaluate, and develop the most promising sites for utility-scale wind farms. The company’s focus is long term; Torch Renewable builds strong relationships with landowner partners, banks, and utilities.
To date, Torch Renewable’s executives have strategically chosen to focus their development efforts on the Midwestern and Southwestern United States. Torch Renewable begins the development process by evaluating potential development sites for sufficient wind resource, local infrastructure, electricity grid interconnection availability, and land ownership status. Torch Renewable has chosen to focus on projects with high potential for success rather than spreading the company’s resources among many weaker projects.
